Week 45, 2022

Week Forty-five of Cultivate Delight, where we are actively planning our spiritual endeavors this coming week with the goal of a consistent time spent engaging our hearts with Christ in his word, in prayer, in reflection, and in music. Below are some starting points for reflection, and I hope you find them helpful. The goal is to not just rush through these and then get on with your day. Take your time and reflect throughout the week on these items.

If Satan’s darts have wounded us, faith cools the scalding heat of sin by applying to us the precious balm of Christ’s blood.

Question 45: Is baptism with water the washing away of sin itself?

No, only the blood of Christ and the renewal of the Holy Spirit can cleanse us from sin.

Luke 3:16
John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

CityAlight – Known and Loved

Known and Loved

God, You were there from my beginning
For I was crafted by Your hands
You see my hopes and hesitations
My days are written in Your plan

If You have seen my weakest moments
And still You love me even then
I need no greater confirmation
That God, Your goodness has no end

I come to Jesus, lay down my weakness
No need for hiding, here in His light
This truth I treasure, my peace forever
Is being known and loved by Him

I trust with Jesus, it is finished
For He has paid my every debt
No need to pull it all together
For what is broken He will mend

I come to Jesus, lay down my weakness
No need for hiding, here in His light
This truth I treasure, my peace forever
Is being known and loved by Him

Though I can’t see the path before me
I know the One who knows the way
And as I walk, His hand will guide me
Until I see Him face to face

I come to Jesus, lay down my weakness
No need for hiding, here in His light
This truth I treasure, my peace forever
Is being known and loved by Him
Is being known and loved by Him
