Week six of Cultivate Delight, where we are actively planning our spiritual endeavors this coming week with the goal of a consistent time spent engaging our hearts with Christ in his word, in prayer, in reflection, and in music. Below are some starting points for reflection, and I hope you find them helpful. The goal is to not just rush through these and then get on with your day. Take your time and reflect throughout the week on these items. This week we are focusing on how can glorify God. May we take time this week to give praise and glory to our great God!

Question 6: How can we glorify God?
We glorify God by enjoying him, loving him, trusting him, and by obeying his will, commands, and law.
Deuteronomy 11:1
You shall therefore love the Lord your God and keep his charge, his statutes, his rules, and his commandments always.
Prayer
Holy Lord God Almighty.
You are the one true and righteous God. The one alone who is worthy of our praise and glory. You have come down from heaven to inhabit the land. You are Righteousness walking among us. You who have known no sin, was made sin. Jesus took all my sin upon himself. Each and every one of my sins were given over to Christ and he bore them on the cross. It was there the full wrath of God was focused. The perfect one had chosen to endure God’s holy wrath, so that I can be clothed in His righteousness.
When the Father looks upon me, he sees the righteous works of Jesus. This is my motivation and my strength. This is my humility. This is my praise! I give glory to God by enjoying him. I enjoy him by savoring each and every moment that I have in this life. His precious gift to me is himself.
The Spirit of the living God dwells within me. He inhabits my heart. He tabernacles with me. Every breathe is a tender mercy from the Lord and I want to draw each one in humbleness and obedience.
Lord, draw me close to your heart and give me your desires. Teach me to delight myself in you and let that delight overflow in praise and worship as I glorify the name of Jesus with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.
